District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has stated that the Red Cross Society Services are very appreciatable. She had participated in a General Body meeting of District Red Cross Society here on Tuesday at Ambedhkar Bhavan in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she said that the district Red Cross society is in second position in the state for doing more services and having many members. Every member should try to reach for first position in this year on services, she noticed. She stated that the society has donated Rs.5 Lakhs to the Neelam flood victims at Tuni area. Red Cross Blood Collection mobile bank is arranged with Rs. 30 Lakhs in the district by the society. They had also donated solar lights to around 18 Gurukul schools in the district, she added. Later, she had presented Red Cross awards and appreciation certificates to the members.
