A record level heavy rainfall was observed on the 3rd successive day in Kakinada. Heavy rain lashed the Town on Wednesday. All the roads were marooned and vehicular traffic came to a standstill due to this continuous rainfall. The rain water entered houses in many low-lying areas in the town. Kakinada urban and rural mandals registered a rainfall of 112.6 mm each. According to this, the district officials have arranged a control room at the Collectorate. Here the numbers:
