District received great fame for service in ration distriction through Aadhaar Seeding. State Minister Mr. Thota Narasimham attended as a chief guest to the program as this program was being viewed by our Prime Minister Mr. ManMohan Singh in live. Mr. Narasimham stated that our district hs become great to be feel proud of in India. I congradulate all the officers in the district for striving hard for two years without any rest for this development, he added. He personally congratulated Collector and Joint Collector saying that through Biometric method more liable people can receive ration and said that the real beneficials are able to receive them. On this occasion Area Deputy Director General of Aadhaar Mr. Rama Reddy stated that very soon they are going to link all Government schemes with Aadhaar. By March 2013 Scholarships, Fees Reimbursements, Pensions and other schemes along with Ration Distribution are going to be linked with Aadhar, he added. He also said that still there are 2.79 Crore applicants yet to be registered for Aadhaar. We are going to organise two more Aadhaar centers each in 60 mandals of the district, he added.
Our District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad and Joint Collector Mr. A. Babu has received Aadhaar Governance Award from the hands of Prime Minister Mr. ManMohan Singh at Dudu city in Jaipur District of Rajasthan. They received this award for making Ration Distribution through E-Post method of Biometric by linking Aadhaar. This was telecasted in live and everyone congradulated them.
