The Home Guard selections which were made earlier in the month of July was cancelled. Total 30,000 candidates appeared for the 247 posts during the selections. Out of them, 220 Men and 27 Women candidates were selected. However, the selected list majority consisted of Rowdy sheeters and leaders. Due to this, Police higher officials cancelled the selections made on 4th and 5th of July. Reselections will be conducted from 7th of October. Candidates who were eligible last time will also be given chance to participate in these selections. Therefore, SP Trivikrama Varma passed orders of selections including the previous eligible candidates. However, 20 more posts were included this time, i.e., selections for total 267 posts will be held.
