Kakinada, April 26th: The Re-polling organized at station number 111 in Pasuvulanka village of Mummidivaram Assembly segment on Sunday was held in a smooth manner. Nearly 95 percent of the voters exercised their franchise on the day. The Re-poll was necessitated following some problems in the working of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) after the poll started on April 23. Out of the total 354 voters in the village 338 exercised their franchise. Majority of the votes were polled before 1pm.
East Godavari District collector, Mr. Gopal Krishna Dwevedi along with joint collector, Mr. Kona Sasidhar and poll observer Kaushik Beam has inspected the polling station. Video cameras were arranged at the polling booth to capture the moments of each and every voter. Authorities have appointed micro observers for conducting the polls in a smooth manner. In addition to this special police forces were also deployed.
