East Godavari District Collector and Returning Officer Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has announced the results of East & West Godavari districts MLC Graduate Constituency Elections here on Tuesday. She declared that Mr. Kalidindi Ravikiran Varma has been elected as the MLC for East & West Godavari Districts Graduate Constituency with a record level majority. According to the sources, he is the eldest son of Educationalist and MLC Mr. Chaitanya Raju. He had created a new record that 'he is the first young MLC, who has positioned in the age of 32years'. The counting of votes was completed on Yesterday Morning. In the multi-concerned contest, Mr. Ravikiran Varma has secured 52,851 votes and his nearest rival Mr. Kacha George Victor secured 27,060, while the TDP candidate Mr. Kanumilli Venkata Suryanarayana got 11,314 votes. The other 27 candidates could not muster more than 500 votes each except Mr. Vundapalli Ramesh Naidu and Mr. Thota Edward. A total 6,305 votes were declared invalid.
