Ration dealers welfare association organised a strike yesterday at Collector office demanding to give them ration goods only after weighing them on electronic balance at MALS points were the goods are stored. Ration dealers from all corners of the district participated in this strike. Ration dealers all together allegated that they are providing ration goods to the consumers through elctronic weighing machines but not receiving goods from MALS point through weighing machines. Heavy deficit of goods is taking place due to this, they added. Dealers demanded to take immediate action in providing ration goods to ration shops through electronic weighing machines from MALS points. Otherwise we may have heavy losses, they added. Later ration dealers welfare association president Mr. Amajaala Veerabadram Naidu and secretary Mr. Adapaa Venkata Ramana handed over request letter to Joint Collector Mr. Babu.
