Rajanagaram, October 3: A very rare heart surgery was done at G.S.L hospital in Rajanagaram. Srilakshmi, a resident of Amalapuram was born with heart problem. This problem will be mostly seen in infants and it is known as “Agent Ductus Artiryosis “. In this problem when the baby was in the womb the blood would be purified by Ductus and after the functioning of lungs the blood would be purified by lungs and the ductus will be closed. If this doest happen then it is called as P.D.A .
This disease was diagnosed when she was pregnant, G.S.L took up this case and they did the operation very successfully. This operation was done with no stitches on the body. Cardiologist Dr. Kamalakar said that with the help of device closer the hole was closed through the leg nerve end opening. For this special equipment is needed and the patient will be recovered very soon. This operation was done under the leadership of hospital M.D Dr. Ganni Bhaskararao, Cardiologist Dr. Kamalakar, professors Rakesh Sharma and Sachithananda Mishra.
