Kakinada, Jan 13^th: On the occasion Sankurathri, rangoli competitions were grandly conducted at local Sarvepalli Radha Krishna primary school on Tuesday. Nearly 30 women of the area have actively taken part in the competitions by showing their excellence in the art. This competition have provided a lot of entertainment and induced the competitive spirit in the women from their daily routine. Few of the women have shared their experiences of participating the competition.

Kakinada town mayor Kavikondala Saroja acted as the chief guest and judge for the competition. Speaking on the occasion she said that, the rangoli was a part of Indian tradition. She alleged that the youngsters were deprived of the practice of art in the present trend of life. She appreciated the organizing unit for conducting such competitions and for encouraging the women. Later she distributed prizes to the winners and participants. 28^th divisional corporator Kampara Venkata Prasad is also participated in the show.
