Social Welfare Protection Committee called upon Government to quit the decision on closing of Social welfare hostels. In association with this committee, students participated in a protest rally conducted from Balaji Cheruvu Center here on Wednesday. This rally proceeded towards Collectorate and at Collectorate, they submitted the appeal letter of their demands to District Revenue Officer Mr. B.Yadagiri. Committee District President, Mr. Rai Srinivas Rao criticized on how Social Welfare Minister announced to close Social Welfare hostels if strength is below 100 students. He grieved that economically backward students will not be educated if hostels are closed. Committee District Chief Secretary Mr. Kudipudi Naga Ramesh, Members K.Ganga Bhavani, M.Swathi and others were present.
