Kakinada, Jan 5th: Many irregularities took place in the allotment of houses under Rajiv Swagruha that were constructed at Sambhamurthy Nagar, Kakinada. The TDP and PRP leaders alleged for the situation and organized a demonstration at the district collectorate on Monday. Later Telugu Desam leader and former MLA Mr. Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao and the Praja Rajyam Party member P. Venkata Viswam submitted seperate petitions to the Collector, Gopala Krishna Dwivedi for the comprehensive enquiry into the allotments.
Addressing the demonstration Mr. Venkateswara Rao said that nearly 200 people were deceived with the irregularities that took place during the allotment of the units. He alleged the involvement of local MLA Mutta Gopalakrishna and the former housing engineer in these unauthorized allotments. Later Collector promised to go for an enquiry for the same and to justice to the poor who were being cheated under this process. Mr. Dasarlapudi Ramana Raju, Mr Bolla Krishna Mohan, Mr. Dharma Rao and others participated in the demonstration.
