The First Phase of Pulse Polio immunisation campaign is to be held, Today in the district. According to the sources, the District Medical & Health department officials have done all the arrangements for this program. A total 7 Lakh Polio doses have been issued for this first phase immunisation in the district. Around 5.17 Lakh of 0-5year aged children are going to be beneficiated by this program in this district. The mobile teams would be placed to detect and cover children of construction workers, nomadic groups, agricultural fields and fishermen communities. These teams will also go to every door-step to confirm whether the Vaccine has given to their children or not in the district for 2days.
