The first phase of Pulse Polio Immunisation programme-2013 has been started here on Sunday. According to the sources, 80% of this vaccination has been completed in the district on this first day itself. District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has started the program from Yetimoga Urban Health Center (UHC) here. Speaking on this, she has stated that every children with 0-5years age must be given this vaccine to avoid Polio disease. Later, she had participated in an awareness rally conducted in the city, about Pulse Polio vaccine by Rotary club. DM&HO Mrs. K. Padmavathi, DIO Mr. Murali Krishna, MHO Mrs. Ratna Uma and other officials participated in the program.
