Kakinada Municipal Corporation authorities conducted an awareness rally here on Friday for Pulse Polio-2012 exercise to be held on 19th of February all over the State. According to this, Kakinada Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Mr. V.Ravi Kumar started the rally from the Corporation office. The rally proceeded through all the major places by NCC & NGC teams from various schools in Kakinada. Speaking on this, Mr. Ravi Kumar called upon the public to make the program successful for a better society. He said, every parent should take some necessary precautions from respective doctors to protect their children from polio disease. He said, polluted water is also the cause for polio. Mr. Ravi Kumar stated that people should participate in this program held in their nearby centers in time. Later, Municipal Health Officer, Ratna Uma said every one should make their environment clean & should drink boiled water to protect from diseases. Municipal Corporation Staff & School students participated in the program.
