PSTU to start new PG course in Astrology

Hyderabad, June 5th: Potti Sriramulu Telugu University is likely to start an exclusive post graduate diploma in Jyothirvaidhyam (astrology and medicine) from this academic year. With the huge interest shown by the medical professionals in astrology, the university has taken the decision to start the new course. The university will soon hire allopathic and ayurvedic doctors with expertise in astrology to teach 20 medial students. The process of receiving the applications was already initiated.

 

The syllabus for the one year part time course includes human body, various diseases and their connection to grahas and nakshatras. In spite of the several astrology courses in the university the doctors were preferring to pursue this course. So the university has decided to start astro-medical course by admitting homeopathy, ayurvedic and allopathic doctors through an entrance exam. According to the Mr. C.V.B Subramanyam, dean, department of astrology, the doctors if equipped with astrological knowledge can easily identify the problem of the patient.

 

Mr. Subramanyam revealed that, doctors are already researching the significance of astrology in cardiac problems in the university. Scholars are working for their doctorates on astrological significance in earthquakes, gemology, meteorology, geography, computer science etc. The university is already offering MA in astrology and has started a PG diploma in computer programming with astrology.
