Tirupati, July 19th: The Praja Rajyam Party chief, Mr. Chiranjeevi, on Sunday said that the party was ready to enter into pact with the Left Parties, if they come forward in the ensuing elections for Greater Hyderabad. However he rejected any move to make alliance with Telugu Desam (TD) but clarified that the PR was for a united struggle by the opposition parties, including the TD, against the Congress government’s anti-poor policies.
Addressing a press conference here, the PR chief said that the party would be geared up to face the Greater Hyderabad civic polls and campaign would be launched after the issue of notification. All the 150 candidates would be finalized soon. He admitted that there was dissatisfaction among the party cadre. He further agreed that it was a grave mistake that the party failed to give seats to the right candidates on the last assembly elections. The PR chief said that the party office for Tirupati constituency would be opened soon. He said that he had carved out seven zones with each one represented by a party leader.
