Visakapatnam, Oct 15th: Chiranjeevi , the PRP leader on his tour in Vijayanagaram on Wednesday said that “ I was not desperate to catch power but was committed to bring change in the lives of common man”. Regarding the allegations raised by congress members about the income tax he said that he was a prompt income tax payer and got an award from IT department.
Praja Rajyam Party President Chiranjeevi decided to wind up the road shows for two days before the schedule because of a hoarse throat and fatigue. The road shows were cancelled and Chiranjeevi and other party leaders were decided to return to Hyderabad on Thursday.
PRP started its tour from Srikakulam on October 9th and after completion of shows in that district they toured to Vijayanagaram. After completion of Vijayanagaram they were to tour Visakapatnam till October 17th and on the last day they would depart to Hyderabad.
Doctors examined Chiranjeevi and asked to wind up the shows. However, Chiranjeevi refused to heed their words and continued with his tour. But in the afternoon he was found very fatigue and doctors advised to take rest. So the party leaders decided to cancel the remaining programmes and fly back to Hyderabad. The leaders said that they would announce the schedule of Visakapatnam with in few days.
