Kakinada, April 17th: Activists of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) attacked on a local journalist here on Friday. The incident took place at PRP party office of contesting candidate for Kakinada Rural, Mr. Kurasala Kannababu. On receiving the news about the quarrel between the drivers, the journalist reached the party office to cover the incident. The activists noticed the journalist shooting the incident. They attacked on him and forcefully took away the camera, cell phone and gold chain.
The co journalists of Praja Shakthi reached the place and organized dharna in front of the party office. They raised slogans against the PRP party and demanded to take action on the activists who were involved in the incident. Mr. Kannababu showed concern over the incident and asked the activists to say apology to journalist. With the assurance given to the journalists of not repeating such incidents in future they withdrew the dharna.
