Protesting against the arrest of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, party activists staged a protest at Nookalamma temple centre here on Tuesday. The activists and Former MLA, Mr. Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao, and City Unit President Mr. Dusarlapudi Ramana Raju painted ‘hand', the symbol of the Congress and burnt it with petrol . They kept the portrait of Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh in the middle of the hand symbol and burnt the symbol with petrol. Raising slogans against the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre and the Congress government in the State, they condemned the arrest of Mr. Naidu, who tried to meet Mr. Manmohan Singh along with all-party leaders to discuss the problems of the farmers.
