Demanding solution to their long-pending problems, sanitation workers of the Panchayat Raj Department under the aegis of the East Godavari Zilla Panchayati Workers Union on Monday staged a novel protest in front of the Collector's office. The workers cleaned the roads outside the Collectorate. Secretary of the Union, Mr. R. Raghavulu demanded that minimum wages must be paid to the contract workers and service benefits must be allocated to the permanent workers.
