The District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that the state government is giving high priority for the development of SC and ST's. She stated that the Government’s motive is to lessen economic inequality between SC / STs and other community. She has participated in 'Indiramma Kalalu' program, which is organized by the Kakinada Municipal Corporation in Dalit wards & divisions to create awareness on SC, ST Sub-plan here on Thursday at Burma Colony. Speaking on this, she stated that the SC & ST areas will be developed more in the district. She said that the government is spending Rs. 8,585 crores every year for the development of SC's and now Rs. 12,551 crores were sanctioned through this sub-plan for SC's development. Later, she spoke to local SC, ST leaders and discussed about their problems. RDO Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, Commissioner Mr. V. Ravi Kumar, Additional Commissioner PM Satya Veni, Tahsildar Mr. Rammurthy, Principal Public Health Officer Mr. Mohan Krishna, DCP Mr. Rambabu, MEPMA TPO Mr. Krishna Mohan and others participated in the program.
