The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a membership road show here on Friday to share its activities and services with the industry alliance. CII Vizag Zonal Council Chairman Capt.Sriram Ravi Chander made a presentation on ‘CII Advantage' which gave complete details of the organization. Participating as the chief guest, District Collector M.Ravi Chandra appreciated the CII for extending its services to the industries in Kakinada. The CII not only focused on the development of industries but also inclusive growth across the country. “There is a need to evolve a District Development Forum to identify the requirements of the district to prepare it for future challenges,” Mr.Ravi Chandra observed. Capt. Ravi Chander said CII's focus for 2010–11 was ‘Business for Livelihoods'. It was also concentrating on reviving the economy and fast–tracking infrastructure in order to transform India into an economically and technologically vibrant global leader by the year 2022. In this context, the CII was working closely with the Government on policy issues and expanding business opportunities for industry through a range of specialized services and global linkages.
