Kakinada: Praja Durbar, a redressal of the public grievances, is being conducted on every Monday under the aegis of the Collector. This progamme started with a view to provide transparent ABD public-oriented administration to East-Godavari district people.
Poor people residing in far-flung areas in the district of 60 mandals will be provided quick and quantative redressal with this progamme. The progress of the progamme which was started in January 2009 up to Wednesday was provided by district administration. Nearly 75 percent of the petitions filled by the people were redressed. They are three channels specified including toll-free number, E-parishkaram and general petitions in this. The collector, Mr Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, joined with the district officials for one hour between 9:30 am to 10:30 am over the toll free 2384444.
