Hyderabad, May 19th: Actor turned politician and Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) chief, Mr. Chiranjeevi ruled out going back to films. Inspite of greater defeat in the recently concluded general election, Chiranjeevi declared to continue in politics till his last breath. He said he would strive for the party and emerge as a “political force” in the coming days.
Talking to the media on Tuesday at PR head quarters in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi said that he was not disheartened by the poor performance of the party. He refused to blame anybody over the defeat and he owned the responsibility of the same. His assessment over the poor performance was delay in selection of candidates and lack of communication among the party cadre.
According to PRP general secretary and Chiranjeevi brother-in-law, Mr. Allu Aravind, the vicious campaign taken up by the opposition party leaders that the PR party has sold the tickets affected the poll prospects of the party. He denied that the party tickets were sold. He challenged his rivals that he is ready to quit from the party if any of the allegations leveled against him were proved.
