PR chief meets kin of victims

akinada, Jan 28th: Actor turned politician and Praja Rajyam Party president, Mr. Chiranjeevi called on the victims of ID liquor who are undergoing treatment at the government general hospital here on Thursday. He enquired about their health with the authorities and appealed them to give necessary treatment for their early discharge. Speaking to media, Chiranjeevi said that it was the failure of the government to control the ID liquor brewing centers which indirectly claimed 13 lives. He demanded the government to take necessary steps to destroy the brewing centers and arrest those who were responsible for the tragedy.

Mr. Chiranjeevi announced Rs 10,000 each to the kin of the deceased on behalf of his party and demanded Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of the deceased as ex-gratia from the government. He also demanded for provision of essentials for a month to all the families affected free of cost. He alleged the involvement of leaders from ruling party in running liquor mafia.
