Amarajeevi Sri Potti Sriramulu birth anniversary was celebrated here on Friday by Arya Vysya Mahasabha committee in Kakinada. According to this, District President of Arya Vysya Mahasabha, Mr. Lingamullu Krishna Murthy presided over the program as a chief guest. The committee offered garlands to the statue of Sri Potti Sriramulu at Ramaraopeta center and paid rich tributes for the great freedom fighter. Later, they have distributed fruits and biscuits for all the students of Municipal High School located at Police Reserve line, Kakinada. Speaking on this, Mr. Lingamulla Krishna Murthy stated that Sri Potti Sriramulu sacrificed his life during the struggle of Andhra State formation and was named as Ammarajeevi (Immortal being). His sacrifice became instrumental in the linguistic re-organization of states. Arya Vysya Mahasabha Political Department State Committee Vice President Mr. Peddi Ratnaji, International Vasavi Clubs Director Nalam Andaalu, Ramaraopeta Sivalayam Committee Chairperson Mr. Madhu, Club Member Mr. Gullapudi Babji and others participated in the program.
