Kakinada, April 10th: During the second phase of training program nearly 5,800 election staff has cast their vote through postal ballot on Friday. The election authorities have arranged postal ballot booths at the training centers so as to facilitate the polling officers (POs), assistant polling officers (APOs) and other staff of election duty to cast their vote without fail. Out of the 30,000 election staff 25,000 are still to cast their vote through postal ballot.
For the first phase of elections to be organized at Rampachodavaram constituency on April 16, the district election authorities has declared holiday for all the government organization including schools on April 15 & 16. DEO and East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi has declared the same on Friday. He said that the government organizations will remain closed on April 22 & 23 for the second phase of elections.
