Government General Hospital, Kakinada, which is providing services to both East Godavari and West Godavari Districts, will now conduct Portal Hypertension Operations. For this, Workshop was conducted at department of surgery in hospital. GGH Superintendent Dr. MBR Sarma, Rangaraya Medical College Principal Dr. V. Vikram Kumar, Vice Principal Dr. Kameswarao inaugurated the workshop. Surgical Gastroenterologist, Dr. D.Sai Babu from Yashoda Hospital participated as the chief guest. He performed operations related to Hyper Tension, Liver Cancer and created awareness among doctors and PG Students. Head of Surgery Department, Dr. K.Babji said that although there is enough equipment to conduct operations for Portal Hypertension disease but there are no specialists to perform. In order to create awareness among Doctors and PG Students, operation was performed on two patients. Dr. Sai Babu, Dr. Babji, Dr. Mythili, Dr. Rambabu, Dr. Sophia, Dr. Narsingarao, Dr. Maha Lakshmi, Dr. Venkatabuddha, Dr. Srinivas and 100 other surgeons participated in this operation. GGH Doctors felicitated Dr. Sai Babu.
