Policemen work reviewed by Home minister

Kakinada, June 24th: The state home minister, Ms Sabita Indra Reddy, reviewed the performance of the East, West and Krishna district police on her maiden visit to East Godavari on Wednesday. According to the police officials the formation of urban police district for Rajahmundry, the crime rate and recovery of stolen property station wise were reviewed. The minister stressed the need for quick investigations into the cases relating to the women which include dowry harassment.

 

The meeting was attended by Eluru range DIG, Mr Ravi Gupta, West and Krishna Sps, Mr B. Balakrishna, Ramakrishnayya. The East Godavari police was represented by SP (administration), Mr A.S. Janardhan as the SP operations. The home minister inaugurated the newly constructed building of Kakinada port police station. The local MLA, Mr D. Chandrasekhara Reddy and others attended.
