Police war between ASP Navven Kumar and SP Trivikram Varma finally came with a conclusion as we all expected. ASP Naveen Kumar passed allegations in front of the media on SP that he tried to kill him when he stopped him taking bribes from the smugglers. Eluru range DIG Surya Prakash Rao along with two IPS officers started investigating from the level one police staff as per the instructions of DGP. Based on this investigation they prepared a report. In this process ASP Naveen Kumar once again interacted with the media and said that he doesnt belive in the report as all the other higher officials are also involved with Trivikram Varma. Inspite of the report, Minni Mathew, Chief Secretary of State Government yesterday night released orders to suspend ASP Naveen Kumar on Disciplinary grounds. As per 1968 rule 17 in All India Services, he is suspended for showing discipline disorder and for taking media support for complaining on higher authorities, he added. ASP should reach Hyderabad immediately after passing these orders and should not leave Hyderabad without permission, he added. ASP conducted a press meet with media in Rajahmundry, even when he knows that Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy is here in the district. They considered this seriously on disciplinary grounds to suspend him. ASP Naveen Kumar went against the rules by giving prior preference to media instead of approaching the higher authorities, they added.
