Kakinada, Oct 23rd: 42nd police sports meet was declared open at III APSP battalion grounds on Wednesday by state defence minister M.M. Pallam Raju. Minister hoisted the flag and declared the open of sports meet.
Adressing the meeting Pallam Raju praised the services rendered by the police in saving the society from internal threats. He encouraged the police for active participation in the sports and to strive hard for the records and medals. He also said the participants to excel at the National level sports which will be conducted next year.
Mr. Ramudu, Additional Director General of Police said that the police representatives had shown their excellence at National level games in 2007 by winning medals at 13 events. Social Welfare Minister Mr. Subhash Chandra Bose also participated in the meeting.
