Police raided a Club yesterday in RR Nagar near Electric Sub Station which comes under Kakinada Rural circle. In this raid they arrested 53 people along with prominent people in Business and Political fields for playing cards. Cash of Rs. 1,42,005, 37 Cellphones, 30 Motor Vehicles and 4 Cars were taken into custody. Arrested people have hidden their cash in their footwear with the help of rubberbands. But police recognised it and taken into custody. They even caught hold of some fake Indian currency notes of Rs. 500. With this police are investigating in a corner that people are using Gambling clubs for fake currency note printing. Arrested people were driven to Sarpavaram police station. DSP Sai Sri said that people are playing cards without permission in the name of Sri Sri Sri Cultural Club in RR Nagar. Organisers of this club said that they brought legal permission to conduct, but papers to support this are not proper, she added. They are conducting this exceeding the time limit and also playing directly with money instead of using tokens, she added. She said that they have arrested all the people and ceased the club. They identified that the car which is taken into custody from them belongs to relatives of Ex Vice MPP of Rajanagaram, with this they came to a conclusion that there are some hands of prominent political people behind this. Allegations came out that Gambling houses in Kakinada are maintained and assisted by some Public Proxy's.
