Police inquiry on bomb explosion

Rajahmundry, June 18th: The railway police will conduct an inquiry to identify the culprit involved in the explosion of country made bomb which exploded in a passenger train bound to Vijayawada from Visakhapatnam at Godavari railway station on Wednesday. Though  the explosion did not harm any one, three passengers including two men and a woman sustained injuries when they jumped out of the moving train in panic after explosion.

 

The police are trying to get some leads to identify the culprit. It was known that the culprit is aged between 20 and 25 years and boarded the moving train from the platform at the railway station. He failed to keep the bag containing the country bomb on the upper berth properly which fell down and exploded. Finding the address of Nellore on the plastic bag in which the gun power and small chips of stones were packed a police party was sent there for enquiry.

 

The police are enquiring a passenger who along with his family was traveling in S-2 coach and seated in the place where the culprit has kept the bag. The police have no clues except that he was a youngster and short in stature. The clues team lifted some traces and sent for examination to forensic science laboratory.
