Police Commemoration Day, which will be held on 22nd October for every year was observed here on Monday in the premises of District Police office in Kakinada. Marking the day, the District Police paid rich tributes to the police personnel who sacrificed their lives for the Nation. The program was held under the supervision of District SP Mr. Siva Shankar Reddy. The District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has presided over the program as a chief guest. Police salutation was organised in the begining of the program and silence was kept for two minutes. Later, the Collector offered garlands to the Police martyrs at the office premises. She payed tribute to the monument of our great warriors. Commemorating them, she stated that people should be thankful to them and extend all possible support to them for maintaining peace in society. She said that police play a vital role in maintaining peace and providing us protection. Sacrificing the life is not a small thing and it is not easy to everyone, she added. Additional SP Mr. Satyanarayana, OSD Mr. Prakash Jadav, MLA Mrs. Vanga Gita, Mr. Pantham Nanaji, DSP's, CI's, SI's, Retired Police Personnel and police families were participated in the program.
