As we know, the East Godavari District was selected for the National Governance Award for generating the highest number of Aadhaar Cards and linking it to the Public Distribution System (PDS) with Aadhaar data. On this, District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad and Joint Collector Mr. Ahmed Babu went to Dudu village in Jaipur district to collect the award from the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. From there the Prime Minister will interact with district ration card holders though live conference. According to this, Ration Shop No. 87 at Godarigunta area here is being arranged as the venue for ration card holders to have a live interaction online with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Saturday at 12.35pm. Special screens have been arranged for viewers in the Godarigunta area and also at the Collectorate premises.
