Kakinada, Feb 19th: Authorities are putting plans to develop Ananda Bharathi grounds as sports complex with all latest equipments. MLA Mutha Gopala Krishna has revealed this in a program organized at Ananda Bharathi Grounds on Thursday. He attended the program as a chief guest to inaugurate the newly constructed yoga center named as M.G.K Ananda Bharathi. The new building was constructed with a cost of 10 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Gopala Krishna said that the authorities are planning to develop Ananda Bharathi grounds with all latest sports equipment with an expenditure of 70 lakh. He revealed that the complex includes latest equipments of yoga, body building and weight lifting. He said that out of 70 lakh, some percentage expenditure will be levied on corporation and the remaining will be sanctioned from the MLA grants.
35th division corporator Syed Mehboob Irfan also presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he thanked Mutta Gopala Krishna for his effort towards the development of the grounds. Initially in 1952, municipal chair person Late C.V Rao has started the yoga center at Ananda Bharathi grounds. Since 34 years the center is providing services to many athletes. Nearly 150 students will be given coaching under different streams every day. Mutha Sasidhar, Dr. P Veeranjeneyulu, weight lifting coach M.A Deen, and others participated.
