NTR University Vice Chancellor Dr. I.V.Rao inaugurated the statue of ‘Pithapuram Maharaja Sri Rao Venkata Mahipathi Gangadhar Ramaraju’ here on Tuesday at Rangaraya Medical College premises in Kakinada. According to this, 4th generation women from Pithapuram Maharaja’s Family, Rao Bharati Devi presided over the program. She presented flower garlands to the statue and paid rich tributes to the Maharaja. Speaking on this, Dr. I.V.Rao stated that Raja Venkata Mahipathi Gangadhar Ramaraju was a great Doctor and great Humanbeing who will live forever in the history. PR Government College is the best example for Pithapuram Raja’s kindness and they had contributed many things for the society, he added. Later, Rao Bharati Devi felt, ‘Iam blessed to be a part of the great family and iam very proud for this’.
