Pensions distributed to women

Kakinada, Nov 9th: Aiming to provide financial assistance to old age women, Late Chief Minister, Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy has introduced the prestigious Abayahastam Scheme to the old age women. The same was grandly inaugurated by the minister of state for defence Mr. M.M Pallam Raju at Nadakuduru village of Karapa mandal in East Godavari on Monday. The minister distributed pension to nearly 6,131 women on the day. Speaking on the occasion, the minister promised the people that Congress government will continue all the welfare schemes introduced by YSR for the welfare of the weaker sections.

Later, Mr. Raju laid the foundation stone for school building being constructed under the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan project, Rs 4.5 lakh worth Panchayat bhavan and Rs 3 lakh worth CC road at the same village. On the occasion he recalled the governance of the Dr. Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy and lauded his brainchild schemes and projects. Village Sarpanch Sri Ramakrishna, ZP chairperson Mr. Venu, Kakinada RDO Kishore Kumar and many more took part in the program.
