Kakinada, June 11th: The East Godavari district joint collector, Mr. Kona sasidhar reviewed the online payment of scholarships and fee reimbursement to SC, ST, BC and disabled students in the district on Thursday. JC also reviewed payment through banks, colleges and category wise. Speaking on the occasion he said that the technical problem in online payment of scholarships was rectified by National Informatics Center (NIC) officials and 80 per cent of the payments were completed and the rest to be completed in next two days.
He directed the concerned officials to inspect colleges and review payments at regular intervals. He said that new BC students can avail Rs 21 crore towards scholarship, Rs 7.72 crore for old students, Rs 12 crore towards fee reimbursement for new students and Rs 8.25 crore for renewal. The payment for both STs and the disabled were almost completed in the district. Lead bank manager, Mr. A Shanmukhachari, social welfare JD, Prasad, BC welfare officer, Ms. S.K Annapurna and others participated.
