Hyderabad, Sep 22nd: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) is conducting a parallel probe into chopper crash of Y.S Raja Shekar Reddy, though the Crime Investigation Bureau (CBI) has already taken up the charge. The additional DG of CID, Mr. A. Sivanarayana is supervising the probe. Sources in the state police said that it would kick off a controversy if the case is investigated by the CID even after it has been officially transferred to the CBI.
Another senior police official of additional DG rank said that they have not handed over all the documents to the CBI but still probing in the chopper mishap. He said that there is nothing wrong in participating as they will pass the important information to the CBI. Sources in the CBI said that they don’t have ay information on parallel probe by the CID.
Meanwhile, a two man technical committee appointed by the state government asked the police department to provide it with logistics including men to investigate. The government is yet to take any decision on the report submitted by the additional DG law and order, Mr. A.K Khan on the alleged police failure after YSR death. The report submitted by Khan nailed the police official who failed to regulate the traffic from Vempalle to Idupulapaya.
