Panel to regulate fee structure of schools

Hyderabad, June 18th: A four member committee consisting of Hyderabad collector, Mr. Naveen Mittal, commissioner, intermediate education, Mr. Lav Agarwal, the addition secretary, law department Mr. Ramana Murthy, principal and correspondent of a private school in Warangal Mr. Narayana Reddy was formed by the state government on Thursday aiming to frame guidelines for the regulation of fee in private schools. The committee will also have a nominee of the commissioner and director of school education who is yet to be named.

 

The so formed committee will form guidelines and measures to regulate fee in private, corporate, CBSC and ICSE schools. Schools will be categorized based on the amenities they offer and the fees will be decided depending on the facilities. Location of the school will also be taken into consideration during categorization. Government has taken this decision to keep a check on the private schools that are collecting huge amounts in the name of school fees. There was a drastic change in the school fees imposed by the private schools this year.
