Union Minister of State for Defence, Mr. M.M. Pallam Raju, here on Monday, said that right education, skills and value system were the building blocks for the future of the country. He advised youngsters to maintain distance from divisive forces and work for the overall development of the nation. He participated in the valedictory session of the five-day 13th Inter-University National Integration Youth Camp organised jointly by the Foundation for Amity and National Solidarity (FANS) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK). Mr. Pallam Raju said that confidence was the common thread among the 300 students from 25 Universities all over the country, who participated in the five-day camp. Pallam raju capturing the attention of many students by questioning “By the year 2030, over 70 per cent of India's population is young and this is the time to pose a question to ourselves that are we coming out with the right education, skills and values?” Mr. Pallam Raju said that India was a diverse country with various cultures and divisive forces were trying to divide the country on the lines of religion. He observed that agriculture is playing an important role in the economic growth and over 60 per cent of the population is depending on farm sector even today. Despite offering various concessions, the farmers are undergoing a critical phase due to natural calamities, he added. Minister suggested the youngsters must keep it in mind and make use of their talent and skills for the development of the country. Founder president of the FANS, Mr. Virender Mohan Trehan called upon the youngsters to join politics and develop the nation. Vice-Chancellor of the JNTUK, Prof. Allam Appa Rao observed that communalisation of politics was a dangerous trend. He advised youngsters to avoid differentiation and inculcate the trend of ‘we' for promoting unity and integrity at the national level.
