District Level Girls Paika Competitions has been commenced grandly here on Friday at District Sports Authority Stadium. Nearly 350 sports person across the district participated in this competitions. Competitions in different categories like Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Volley Ball and Athletics were held. Later, in the closing ceremony of these competitions at evening 6:30pm, District Collector Mr. Ravi Chandra participated as chief guest. Recalling his Engineering days, Collector stated that he spent most of his evening time at Sports Stadium by playing Basket Ball and Running. Apart from studies, everyone must be involved in sports as it helps in avoiding illness in future he added. Collector Mr. Ravi Chandra and Additional Joint Collector Mr. B.Ramarao awarded prizes to the winners of Mandal, District Level Competitions. In this program, District Sports Development Officer Mr. Ravi, Sports Trainers from various places and students participated.
