An overhead tank costing Rs.25 lakhs will be sanctioned soon for Kajuluru. It will solve the water scarcity problem forever. Enough funds have been released for all the districts to mitigate the drinking water problems. People should bring their problems to the notice of people's representatives, said Social Welfare Minister Pilli Subhashchandra Bose. Participating in Praja Patham at Kajuluru on Saturday, Mr. Bose said the 12th Finance Commission funds were made available for solving the water problem in villages. Kajuluru has a 50,000 litre capacity overhead service reservoir, which could not fully solve the problem. An additional overhead tank was therefore proposed and approved. Mr. Bose said that steps to sanction 25,000 new pensions in the district would be taken from June. List of beneficiaries would be prepared by the end of this month. Houses and ration cards would be sanctioned for eligible beneficiaries. The government has decided to pay Rs. 50 extra per day as bonus to each person working under the NREGS from May 1 to June 20 in view of summer. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer B.
