Hyderabad, Dec 02nd: The tirade against anti-Telangana proponents, fervent appeals for separate Telangana, songs reflecting the spirit of the region, emotional speeches on taking forward the Telangana agitation and nostalgic moments of the agitation in 1969 and the lessons learnt. On the whole, the area around the College of Arts and Social Sciences on Osmania University campus continued to be the epicenter of emotions on statehood for Telangana for the consecutive third day on Wednesday. Members of different organizations and associations continued to pledge support to the Telangana agitation taken up by OU students.
The Telangana NGO Association president Swamy Goud assured to extend full support in carrying out the movement suggesting that all sections of the society should be involved in it. Former Minister and veteran Telangana proponent, Konda Laxman Bapuji, announced Rs. 1.01 lakh in support of the students’ agitation. Harish, a student from Hyderabad Central University, alleged that the university authorities refused to permit even erection of a tent to conduct relay hunger strikes supporting the Telangana agitation. But the relay hunger strike was organized on Wednesday and would be continued on Thursday also, he said. Meanwhile, students went on a spree of changing name boards of some institutions on the campus.
