Kakinada, Nov 22nd: As the police department of East Godavari district is going to provide the information and status of the cases directly through online shortly, the people need not approach or make phones calls regularly to the police station for enquiring about the status of their cases. Not only the status of the police cases, the status of documents like passports or e-challans etc will be provided by this novel service.
According to official sources here, the department will shortly provide these services through its already running website. After entering the website, one can get the desired information which are divided into citizen services, reporting crime, know your case status, may I help you, documentary delivery status etc. One can also get detailed information about how to report a crime, frauds, women's issues, hatred and terror, how to identify a terrorist, internet and job frauds, etc.
Speaking to media, the superintendent of police of East Godavari district, Mr. Y. Nagi Reddy, said that their department was planning to introduce the system in almost all districts in the state. In East Gadavari, documentation of the new service is being done now and will hopefully be completed by the end of 2009 after which they will launch the services for people, he added.
