Kakinada, May 24th: The district administration is likely to introduce online system for the grievance cell which is being conducted every Monday at the district collectorate. The administration will introduce ‘e-parishkaram’ an SMS based grievances tracking system. Nearly 2,000 to 2,500 petitions will be received across the district every week by the cell and the new system will hasten solution to the problems.

According to this new system the genuine petitions received from the public will be forwarded to the concerned department with a specific deadline for redressal. Computer will generate acknowledgement along with a unique number for each grievance received. It will be then transferred to the concerned officer for an enquiry over it. The officers will be given user IDs and passwords to update the status of the petition and its solution.

If the grievance is not cleared with in the given period, an SMS and email will be sent to the concerned officer automatically by the computer. A three day grace period will be given to the officer and even if the problem is not solved the same to be informed to the higher authorities through SMS and email.

The petitioner who submits a grievance can also send an SMS and obtain an automatic SMS reply about the status of his/her petition. They can also call 2384444 to know the status of the petition by quoting the unique number of the petition. Officials will also organize Palle Bata every Friday to take on the spot decision on petitions.
