Online grievance cell begins today

Kakinada, June 20: The much waited online grievance cell, e-parishkaram to solve people’s grievances will come into force from Monday in East Godavari district. The process said to be the first of its kind was developed in association with the National Informatics Center. The district collector decided to have it at the three levels of mandal, revenue division and district.

 

According to the official sources, the district receives 2,000 applications at an average in a week at mandal, division and district levels. Under this new process, the grievance of the petitioner, if possible would be solved on receipt by the authorities concerned present at the place of the cell every Monday. If this is not possible, the petitioner will be issued a computerized serial number, fixing a time for redressal and also an acknowledgement.

 

The district administration has fixed 15 days for redressal and if the grievance is not solved with in the given period, it would be reminded to the authority concerned in the form of an SMS and a reminder by e-mail. Even after 3 days if the petition is solved it will be intimated to the higher authorities at the district level again through SMS and e-mail.

 

Even if the grievance is not solved at this level it will be communicated to the district collector and the joint collector again by SMS and e-mail under the e-parishkaram automatically. The grievance petitioner with the unique number and receipt for the petition can know the status of the petition either by making a call to phone number 9849903868 or through the website e-parishkaram.gov.in.
