Rajahmundry, Nov 20th: Corporation authorities are putting efforts to provide online booking for boat rides to various destinations. At present the facility is provided over phone and in person. Information regarding the accommodation and return journey will also will be provided.
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has taken up this project to avail the benefits of the increasing tourists. This online booking will avail the facility of booking the tickets in advance under various packages to several destinations.
The APTDC recently established one such office at Padmavathi Ghat in Rajahmundry were the reservation can be done at. This office will function from 5am to 10pm and the people can book their tickets from various places to their favorite destinations like Pattiseema and Papikondalu through phone.
Corporation is running 14 boats to various destinations in East and West Godavari districts. Jalajakshi was a new boat which will be put into service very soon between Gautami Ghat and rail-cum-road-bridge. Corporation Divisional manager Venkateswara Rao said that the online booking counters will be started very soon for the benefit of the increasing tourists.
