One man was killed in road mishap here on Monday. According to Two Town SI DS Chaitanya Krishna, the victim Ambati Tata Rao (58) used to live in his Son’s house near Kondayyapalem, Kakinada. On Monday afternoon around 2pm, he went to daughter’s house near Gaigolupadu. However, he did not directly go to daughter’s house but spent time outside. During evening 5pm, while he was at Charminar tea center, Bhanugudi Junction, he came below a municipal corporation van. As, van went over his head, he was dead on spot. Town CI G.Deva Kumar, Traffic-2 CI K.Naga Durga Rao, Si Chaitanya Krishna reached the spot and started investigation. Dead body of Tata Rao has been sent to Mortuary ward of Government General Hospital and case is under study.
